Description
An antique 9 carat rose gold sovereign coin case from the early 20th century. This substantial circular case has a domed form and is finely decorated with engraving. The centre of the front features a plain shield shape which has been left undecorated and provides space for initials. The engraved decoration continues around to the back giving the piece plenty of detail. The case opens to accommodate a gold sovereign coin and is fitted with a large loop allowing it to be worn as a pendant on a chain or attached to an antique watch or Albert chain. Full hallmark made in Birmingham in 1916.
